Upon entering Azuma-ya, you'll be enveloped in a warm, inviting atmosphere, where vintage aesthetics meet cozy seating arrangements. The café is adorned with tasteful décor, making it a perfect refuge for those seeking to escape the bustling streets of Tokyo. Settle into one of the comfortable banquettes and let the smooth sounds of classic jazz transport you to a simpler time.

Azuma-ya's menu is a delightful homage to traditional Japanese sweets and desserts. While the café offers a varied selection, the star of the show is undoubtedly their soft serve ice cream. Customers rave about its stellar texture and rich flavor, attributed to Hokkaido's renowned raw milk. One patron, Mahesh Paolini-Subramanya, expressed his adoration with a glowing review: “the soft serve has brilliant mouthfeel, and that excellent, excellent Hokkaido raw milk flavor.” If you have a penchant for creamy, luscious desserts, this will hit all the right notes.

But it’s not just the ice cream that pleases the palate. With a menu that beckons to those with an affinity for sweet treats, Azuma-ya also offers a selection of delightful Japanese sweets which harmonize beautifully with their rich coffee. As Hanna Shapiro remarked, this café serves “fresh ice cream and coffee in beautiful modern cups” – a presentation that speaks to the attention to detail found here.

Service is another strong suit at Azuma-ya. Patrons like Yeo Soek Leng have applauded the “very nice and cozy atmosphere” complemented by “excellent service,” ensuring that your visit will be not just about the food but also about the overall experience. Come for the soft-serve (dunno 'bout the rest). The place looks is old-school, with banquettes and all. I really can't say much about the menu, but I can confirm that the soft-serve is *stellar*, with brilliant mouth-feel, and that excellent excellent Hokkaido raw-milk flavor (if you've had it, you'll know what I mean). I did see a bunch of other patrons ordering the usual set of Japanese Diner food (omlette, yams, whatnot), but didn't get any. That soft-serve though, mmmmmm.

The food is amazing and the atmosphere alone is worth the visit. They do not have an English menu but were very kind to let us point at the display menu to order.
